1.The Chengdu Metro Line 19 project introduction:
The Chengdu Metro Line 19 Phase II project starts from Jiujianbei Station (excluding) of Phase I project and is mainly laid along Chengxiu Road, Xihangang Avenue, Shuanghua Road, Tianbao Avenue, the west section of Shenyang Road, Xintoudou Street section of Tianfu Binjiang Road, Yizhou Avenue, Ningbo Road, Zizhou Avenue, Kexuecheng North Road, and Dongshan Avenue. It runs in a northwest-southeast direction, with stations including Longqiao Road Station, Shuangliu Airport Terminal 2 Station, Longgang Station, Wenjiashan Road Station, Muhua Road Station, Gaofeng Station, Xintoudou Street Station, Honglian South Station, Tianfu Business District Station, and Huaxing Street Station, ending at Tianfu New Station with Hejiang Station reserved. The total length of the line is 42.87 kilometers, all underground, with 12 underground stations (one reserved initially), including 10 transfer stations. There is one Changshun Depot, one Tianbao Avenue main substation, and one Konggang Sanlu main substation. The control center is located at the Xinmiao Control Center. According to operational needs, the trains operating at each station have a maximum speed of 140 kilometers per hour for Type A trains with 8-car formations in the short, medium, and long terms, while the direct trains between the two airports have a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour for Type A trains with 6-car formations in the short, medium, and long terms. The power supply is provided by an AC 25 kV overhead catenary system. Initially, the entire line will be equipped with 44 sets of Type A trains with 8-car formations and a maximum speed of 140 kilometers per hour, totaling 352 trains, as well as 8 sets of Type A trains with 6-car formations and a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour, totaling 48 trains. The peak-hour train density is expected to be 20 pairs/hour, 24 pairs/hour, and 30 pairs/hour in the short, medium, and long terms, respectively, with transportation capacities of 30,400 passengers/hour, 36,500 passengers/hour, and 45,600 passengers/hour in the short, medium, and long terms, respectively. The total investment in the project is 35.518 billion yuan, and the construction period is 41 months.
The Chengdu Metro Line 19 is the thirteenth subway line under construction in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. The line runs in a northwest-southeast direction and uses 4-car formation Type A trains. Its distinctive color is blue-gray, and it is positioned as a rapid line and an airport line.
The Phase I project (Jiujianbei – Jinxing) started construction on February 27, 2017, and was merged with Phase I of Chengdu Metro Line 17. Due to adjustments in the Chengdu Metro’s plans, Phase I of Line 17 was later split into Lines 17 and 19. Phase I of Chengdu Metro Line 17 commenced operations on December 18, 2020. Phase II of Line 19 started construction on August 16, 2019, from Jiujianbei Station in Shuangliu District (excluding) to Tianfu New District Tianfu New Station, with Hejiang Station reserved. The line is approximately 42.87 kilometers long and consists of 12 underground stations. The entire line is expected to be operational by 2023.
