1.Introduction of Dongguan Tangxia Water Company:
Established in 1993, Dongguan Tangxia Water Company is a subsidiary of the Tangxia Town Government, mainly responsible for supplying potable water for production and daily life in Tangxia Town, as well as the sales and installation of water supply fittings. Under the correct leadership and strong support from the Tangxia Town Party Committee and Government, Tangxia Water Company has developed and expanded over the years, continuously improving its scientific and technological content. It has grown from one water plant to four, with a total water supply capacity of 510,000 cubic meters per day. Among them, the Central Water Plant supplies 90,000 cubic meters per day, the Fenghuang Water Plant 250,000 cubic meters per day, the Xiagongyan Water Plant 100,000 cubic meters per day, and the Niumianpu Water Plant 70,000 cubic meters per day. The company currently has 272 employees. Over the years, the company has focused on talent introduction and cultivation. Currently, among the employees, there are 4 engineers, 15 assistant engineers, and 135 employees with a college education or above. In 2010, Tangxia Water Company completed the integration of all community water supply stations in the town, forming a “network” of water supply throughout the town. Currently, the company’s water supply network covers most areas of the town, with a total length of water supply pipelines over DN300 reaching about 200 kilometers. The water supply population exceeds 400,000, covering all communities in the town. The main surface water source currently used by Tangxia Water Company is the Dongshen Phase IV Water Supply Canal. When the Dongshen Phase IV Water Supply Canal is operating normally, the Central Water Plant and Fenghuang Water Plant are the main water plants, with the Xiagongyan Water Plant and Niumianpu Water Plant serving as pressure compensation and emergency backup. Before the annual maintenance shutdown of the Dongshen Phase IV Water Supply Canal in December, water is pumped from the Dongshen Phase IV Water Supply Canal to the Xiagongyan Reservoir and Niumianpu Reservoir for storage, so that during the shutdown period of the Dongshen Canal and the shutdown of the Fenghuang Water Plant, reservoir water sources can be used to maintain production at the Central Water Plant, Xiagongyan Water Plant, and Niumianpu Water Plant, ensuring the water supply safety of the entire town’s people.
